Contact UsLack of Facilities Did Not Stop This 14-YO Boy’s Dream To Become An IAS Officer
Every child has big dreams about their future. Some want to be teachers or astronauts, while others want to be artists or performers. Some of them achieve their dreams with the right guidance from their parents, teachers and peers. But many never get the chance to live their dreams.
This hurdle is caused by many factors but the main ones are the lack of adequate facilities for education and poverty.
Meet Neetish Soni (14), a class 10 student of Jagat Jeet Inter College, Uttar Pradesh. He aspires to become an IAS officer when he grows up because he wants to help rural communities and implement ground-level changes.
Neetish who lives with his parents and younger brother faced a lot of difficulties during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Though he had access to technology, he was unable to attend online classes owing to repetitive internet issues. This caused a lot of stress for the young boy as he could not prepare for his civil exams.
But after completing that year of schooling, Neetish got an opportunity to learn at the Bharat E Shiksha centre. Here, he could access digital learning platforms as well as participate in the life skills session. This helped him and his family sail through a challenging time.
Neetish appreciates everything about the Bharat E Shiksha Centre, including the teachers who help him learn, explore, and build relationships with peers. He says that the teachers address all doubts related to the subjects and guide students to solve problems by themselves.
