Going Above and Beyond, These Parents Are Powering Their Daughter’s Dreams

It is very common to hear the phrase “Parents would do anything for their children”. Devoted mothers and fathers want their kids to thrive — and for that they’ll do anything in their parental power to see that their little ones lead happy, healthy, and successful lives.

Here is a story of real life parents who went above and beyond for their daughter.
Kajal, a student of class 6 comes from a marginalised family in Dubalu, Haryana. Her father works as a driver, while her mother is a homemaker. This family has been a silent victim of circumstances created by the pandemic.

With the onset of the pandemic, the family faced a financial crisis. Soon after, Kajal’s school had to shut down and move to an online mode of education. Due to a lack of resources and finances, Kajal couldn't attend online classes. She dropped out of classes and discontinued her studies for a few months. This caused worry for Kajal's parents but they did not lose hope and kept looking for ways to educate their child.

Finally, their life changed when Kajal got an opportunity from Bharatcare’s Digital Learning Centre in Haryana. Here, she was able to study using modest resources and digital tools. She was able to enhance her learning and knowledge. She says this program will help her achieve her dream of becoming a teacher in the future.
