About the Position
The Senior Engagement Associate – Electric Vehicles & Sustainable Mobility will play a key role in supporting the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Electric Vehicles & Sustainable Mobility in Ahmedabad and Nagpur. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating EV skilling programs, fostering industry collaborations, engaging with academic institutions, and driving applied research and innovation in the EV ecosystem. The role requires a strong technical background in Electric Vehicles, Charging Infrastructure, Battery Technologies, Automotive Electronics, and Sustainable Mobility Solutions, while also focusing on program execution, stakeholder engagement, and workforce upskilling initiatives.
Responsibilities
1. Industry & Academic Engagement
- Establish partnerships with EV manufacturers, automotive companies, battery technology firms, and research organizations to support CoE initiatives.
- Liaise with universities, technical institutions, and skilling academies to develop structured EV & sustainable mobility training programs.
- Engage with government agencies, CSR partners, and funding bodies to facilitate seamless program execution and ensure alignment with national mobility policies.
2. Program Coordination & Implementation
- Assist in designing and delivering EV technology training programs, battery management system workshops, and sustainable mobility bootcamps.
- Organize hands-on workshops covering EV powertrains, charging infrastructure, energy storage solutions, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technologies.
- Facilitate mentorship programs with industry experts, automotive engineers, and sustainability leaders to enhance learning outcomes.
3. Research & Innovation Support
- Support students and faculty in developing EV-related research projects, prototype development, and innovative transportation solutions.
- Assist in publishing research papers, white papers, and case studies focused on battery performance, energy efficiency, and sustainable urban mobility.
- Coordinate with industry partners for real-world projects, electric fleet management solutions, and mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) initiatives.
4. Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and measure the effectiveness of EV skilling programs, student progress, and industry collaborations.
- Prepare reports and insights for funding agencies, government stakeholders, and academic partners.
- Ensure compliance with program objectives, funding policies, and accreditation guidelines.
5. Outreach & Awareness
- Promote the CoE’s initiatives through seminars, EV summits, sustainable mobility conclaves, and digital outreach.
- Engage with students, EV enthusiasts, and professionals to increase participation in CoE programs.
- Develop newsletters, blogs, and case studies showcasing EV innovations, green mobility policies, and industry trends.
Mandatory Qualification and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Energy Science, Sustainable Mobility, or related fields.
- Certifications in EV technology, battery management systems, charging infrastructure, or sustainable mobility solutions will be an advantage.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in Electric Vehicles, Automotive Electronics, Battery Technology, Charging Infrastructure, or Sustainable Mobility projects.
- Hands-on expertise in EV powertrains, energy storage solutions, vehicle dynamics, and smart transportation technologies.
- Experience in coordinating skilling programs, industry-academic collaborations, or research initiatives in e-mobility.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of EV components, powertrain systems, and battery technologies.
- Experience in curriculum design, training coordination, and research project execution.
- Excellent program management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, faculty, and industry professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of government policies such as FAME India, National Electric Mobility Mission (NEMMP), EV adoption schemes, and carbon neutrality initiatives.
