About the Position

The Manager - Forestry & Agriculture will lead, manage, and oversee sustainable forestry and agricultural projects in Nashik. This role requires close coordination with farmers, government agencies, corporate partners, and other stakeholders to drive impactful and scalable interventions.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Design, implement, and monitor forestry, environment and agricultural initiatives, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, communities, government agencies, NGOs, and corporate partners.
• Capacity Building: Organize training and workshops on sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, watershed management, and climate-resilient practices.
• Afforestation & Agroforestry Programs: Lead plantation drives, biodiversity conservation projects, and agroforestry interventions.
• Monitoring & Evaluation: Develop impact assessment frameworks, conduct field visits, and track project performance through data collection and stakeholder feedback.
• Proposal Development & Fundraising: Draft project proposals, secure funding from CSR initiatives, and manage project budgets efficiently.
• Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental policies, governmentregulations, and best practices in forestry and agriculture.

Mandatory Qualification and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Science, Rural Development, or a related field.
• Minimum 4-7 years of experience in forestry, sustainable agriculture, rural development, or similardomains.
• Strong expertise in agroforestry, climate-smart agriculture, watershed management, and afforestation.
• Proven experience in team management, stakeholder engagement, and government liaison.
• Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Marathi, Hindi, and English is preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Nashik and nearby project locations.

Skills:

• Knowledge of GIS mapping and remote sensing for environmental projects.
• Experience in proposal writing, CSR fundraising, and grant management.
• Hands-on experience with organic farming, soil conservation, and sustainable water management.

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license.
• Willingness to engage in extensive fieldwork and travel.
