About the Position

As a Logistic Coordinator at Bharatcares, you will be responsible for managing logistics and operations to support various CSR projects and initiatives. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of resources, materials, and information, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of CSR programs and activities.

Responsibilities

1.      Supply Chain Management:

• Coordinate the procurement and distribution of materials, equipment, and resources required for CSR projects.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid shortages or excesses.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to optimize procurement processes and negotiate favorable terms.
  

2.      Transportation and Distribution:

• Arrange transportation and logistics for the delivery of goods and materials to project sites, partner organizations, and beneficiaries.
• Coordinate with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and customs agents to manage imports, exports, and cross-border logistics.
• Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery while minimizing costs and delays.
  

3.      Inventory Management:

• Oversee the management of warehouses and storage facilities, including inventory organization, stock control, and safety protocols.
• Implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows to streamline operations and maximize space utilization.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
  

4.      Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and logistics activities using appropriate software systems and tools.
• Prepare reports and analysis on logistics performance, including key metrics such as delivery times, costs, and inventory turnover.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance logistics efficiency and effectiveness.
  

5.      Coordination and Communication:

• Liaise with internal teams, project managers, and external stakeholders to coordinate logistics requirements and address any issues or concerns.
• Communicate proactively with all parties involved to ensure alignment and timely resolution of logistical challenges.

Mandatory Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in the nonprofit sector or with CSR initiatives.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in logistics software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in logistics and supply chain management.
